When I walked along the “ERMOU” street, I saw a signboard “鯛焼 ( Taiyaki )”. By the way, the origin of this street’s name is the Ermou street in Athens, Greece. This city established a sister-city relationship with Athens on August 1, 1988.

The smell of ” Taiyaki” made me stop by this shop. This shop is located in a small space, so please do not miss this shop.

The menu is as follow.

I found a rare menu, ”季節鯛焼 (Seasonal Taiyaki)”. The “Seasonal Taiyaki” at this time (July-2019) was “Cold Tiyaki”. I really wanted to eat this “Cold Tiyaki”, however, I ordered ” Tsubuan” because it was a chilly day. Next time, I will eat “Cold Tiyaki”.

Then my order ” Tsubuan” came !!

Taiyaki is a Japanese fish-shaped cake. It imitates the shape of the tai (Japanese red seabream). The most common filling is red bean paste that is made from sweetened azuki beans. [Excerpt from Wikipedia]

Tsubuan is a kind of red bean paste which is made to keep the form of bean, therefore you can feel the texture of the bean.

This shop’s ” Taiyaki (Tsubuan) ” had much filling (red bean paste) and it was very (temperature) hot & really nice !! Please try it.
